The Finger Lakes region of upstate New York is a beautiful area of glacier-carved lakes, gorges, and glens. The goal of our trip: hike up as many little canyons as possible and see as many waterfalls as possible...
Watkins Glen -- the most famous park of the region with a 2-mile hike that takes you up through the narrow
and beautiful gorge. The Sentry Bridge and lower waterfall welcome all visitors.
The amazing walkway winds through the shale and limestone cliffs. The stone paths are the famous
work of the Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930's.
The beautiful "Cavern Cascade" with the path that goes right underneath the falls.
Peering down into the plunge pool...
The upper section of the dark and beautiful gorge.
