You’ve admired him, idolised him, wondered what it would be like to talk to him. Well, grab a rare opportunity today (Monday, September 10) evening to chat live with the man who defined IT in India, Chief Mentor of Infosys, Nagawara Ramarao Narayana Murthy. Mr Murthy will be the Guest Editor at TimesofIndia.com, available exclusively for an intense interaction with our readers from 1815 hrs IST (1245 hrs GMT) to 1945 hrs IST (1415hrs GMT).

And that is not all. The man who many feel would make a great President of India, will also preside over a joint editorial meeting and pick articles for readers of Indiatimes, TimesofIndia.com, EconomicTimes.com, NavbharatTimes.com and MaharashtraTimes.com to read.

Readers can identify articles picked by the Guest Editor by the tag NRM's pick .

Narayana Murthy needs no introduction. In 1981, he, along with six fellow-believers, breathed life into a dream and called it Infosys. In the years to come it would become synonymous with and a bellwether for the Indian Infotech industry.

A capitalist in the mind with the heart of a socialist is how Mr Murthy describes himself. He has received international recognition as being an Asian hero, lauded for innovations in business processes and corporate governance, always within the boundaries of ethics that he has imposed on himself.

What next, is a question often asked of a man who stepped down as CEO of Infosys after 20 wildly successful years at the helm. This year, when his name was mooted for President, many thought it a logical step for a man who knows what it is to think big and then build on that thought.

Readers who felt they might miss a chance to chat live with Mr Murthy on Monday evening, have already sent in many questions that they want answered. There are personal career-related questions, questions on polity, on what the next big step for India should be – questions rightly posed to a man who has established himself in the ranks of the top visionaries of the country.

Though it will be impossible for Mr Murthy to address each, he will try and answer as many as possible from a set of selected questions. Of course the best way is to make a date with NRM this evening and interact with the man himself.
