Ramayan the epic which created history on Indian television some 20 years back was supposed to be the trump card for newly launched channel 'NDTV Imagine'.
‘Ramayan’ A brand new series based on Valmiki's Ramayan and Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas will be unveiled by Sagar Arts starting January 21st on NDTV Imagine.
Creative minds behind the channel - Shailaja Kejriwal and Sameer Nair, ex Star Plus team, was confident of making a dent on the competition with the launch of their version of Ramayan.
The new ‘Ramayan’ will air from Monday through Thursday at 9:30 pm IST on NDTV Imagine.
But looks like the response hasn't been all that great. And possibly that is the reason why they have pushed the fast forward button taking a leap of 17 years and showing the grown up and adult Ram as soon as possible.

If you are a hindu it is very important that one should be aware of the culture and the value system, for that ramayana is the best which shows the reality and the truth in the life.

This serial is an excellent effort to show ramayan in a way the younger generation understands, without compromising the morals in it. Wish i hadnt missed the first few episodes. This type of serials could be released in CD when it finally gets over.

The old Ramayan was the best. No doubt. about it. I have found no-one in my circle who has found the newer one better. I have sometimes watched its episodes. It seems to be a comedy type serial too. You can't compare that Ravan with this one. I think NDTV Imagine people have spreaded this propaganda on internet to misguide people that newer Ramayan is better.
please make the cd available of this ramayan (ndtv) as soon as possible in the market because it is too good & when it is over on ndtv,people can see this even after its completion
