“I get overwhelmed. I don't know how you deal with that. It's just another way to do things.”

Italian actress Monica Bellucci has revealed that she hates working in America during the summer - because of the country’s workaholic nature.

The Passion Of The Christ star, who is currently in New York promoting new action film Shoot 'Em Up, said that she prefers the relaxed and carefree European summer work ethic.

"For me life is more important than anything - that's the Italian in me. In Europe, we need a quality of life. In August, nobody works. Here, there is too much stress,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

“I get overwhelmed. I don't know how you deal with that. It's just another way to do things,” she added.

Though she admitted her love for America, the actress said that she feels the need to go back to her roots in order to relax.

"I love America. I come here and I'm full of this energy and I feel alive and then after a while I need to go back and relax a bit,” she said.
